How linkshell colors work

Each of the three sliders has 16 positions, 0 to 15, so there are 4,096 colors. Codes read red, green, blue: 11-8-9 is red 11, green 8, blue 9.

The server sends each position as n × 16 + 15, so older n × 17 charts run slightly dark: 11-8-9 is #BF8F9F, not #BB8899.

Setting it in game

  1. Use a New Linkshell and move all three bars to the far left.
  2. Move each bar right the number of times shown above.
  3. Name the shell and confirm. The color cannot be changed later.
